Management kicks off the event. The challenge is revealed. Q&A with the Sinpex team.

Teams start building. The clock starts now and does not stop.

General
Who can apply? +
The hackathon is primarily aimed at IT and computer science students, but is open to all students regardless of field. Whether you study software engineering, data science, business informatics, finance or law, you are eligible as long as you are currently enrolled at a university or Hochschule.
When and where is it happening? +
The event takes place on the 12th and 13th of June 2026 at the Sinpex office in Munich.
What is the hackathon challenge about? +
The brief is shared with accepted teams ahead of the event. Expect something in the AML, KYC or RegTech space. Come with strong problem solving skills and an open mind.
Is it free to attend? +
Yes, participation is completely free. There is no registration fee. Sinpex covers all food and drinks for the entire weekend.
Registration and Logistics
Do I need a team already? +
No. You can apply as a full team of up to 4 people or as an individual. We will help match solo applicants with teammates before the event.
Will food be provided? +
Yes. Full catering is provided across both days including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout. You will not need to worry about food or drinks for the entire weekend.
Can I stay overnight? +
Yes. The overnight stay is at the Sinpex office. The space stays open and accessible throughout the night. At hackathons, people barely sleep anyway.
What is the application deadline? +
The deadline is the 30th of May. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend applying early as spots fill quickly.
